The Tale of the Wicked Queen
A tale is something not true, Wicked is another word for evil. This tale starts with a wicked Queen that bosses everyone around. All you ever hear is, "Do this, That isn't done right, Don't make me repeat myself", and so forth. Well you think this Queen lives in her own world where everyone waits on her but she don't she don't even live in a castle either, "What is up with that huh? Nope our Queen was forced to live in a modern house & even has kids & not servants. Well lets see making this a tale lets have the Queen live in a castle but lets keep some facts & let her have the kids just to make it fun. Oh ok now that is out of the way, Queen lives in a castle with kids (who are not little servants either). She also complains a lot.
Well one day the littlest child decided to make the Queen see how she acts towards everyone. So when the Queen orders the kids to start mopping the floor on their hands and knees they all scattered to do their work so they don't have to go down to the dungeon for the night as they are all scared of mice. The littlest child remains still & sits down playing with the carpet and is picking up small pieces of dirt and piling it up. The Queen says again what needs to be done but the littlest child remains still. So the Queen orders the smallest child to the dungeon but instead of crying the smallest child goes skipping and singing and the Queen was steaming mad. Morning came and the Queen ordered the smallest child to be brought to her as she was hoping to see the tear stains on her cheeks but when the smallest child came was yawning and stretching and mentioned what a great night sleep that was not hearing the other ones snoring. So the Queen dismissed the smallest child to finish the list of chores to be done.
Later that day after dinner the Queen tell the children to wash the walls she is tired of fingerprints all over them. The kids all scattered but left sitting down was the smallest child picking up dirt and putting in the same pile, the Queen was fuming again and ordered they take the smallest child to the dark attic where there was spiders everywhere the smallest child goes skipping and singing which made the Queen even madder then last night. In the morning the Queen ordered the smallest child to come to her. The smallest child comes down from the attic smiling so the Queen asked "what is with the smile?" the smallest child said"I made so many friends last night". The Queen dismisses the smallest child to do the morning chores.
After dinner the Queen orders the children to rewash all the dishes, all the children go running but the smallest child sitting picking up dirt and putting in a pile. So the Queen orders they put the smallest child out in the stable. The smallest child goes out there skipping and singing. In the morning the Queen orders to bring the smallest child to her. The smallest child comes in covered in dirt and hay and the Queen laughs but the smallest child laughs even louder and says the baby horse was fun to play with. The Queen orders the smallest child to do chores.
This goes on for about two weeks each time the place the smallest child goes to is a bit worse then before and yet the smallest child always comes back to the Queen happy and excited. On the last day the Queen finally ask why the smallest child just sits down and not do what was told to do and why always so happy in the morning? The smallest child explains that sitting down has helped in picking up every bit of dirt off the floor and even though separated from everyone else and taken someplace scary still gets to go on a new adventure that nobody else does and meet and do exciting stuff after that the Queen decided ordering people to do things just isn't worth it.
I love my story now granted my youngest one didn't get by with her behavior it just helped me see when telling kids to do things don't nag over it and realize what they are able to do and allow them to get it done but in a reasonable amount of time. She got her work done and was able to go play outside.
