Haiti Earthquake

I am very sad by the Haiti earthquake...so I am doing my blog in honor and in remembrance the those people over there suffering....

1 Kings 19:11-12

And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:

And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.

Our Daily Bread....

Luke 11:3

Give us day by day our daily bread

"You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him." Luke 12:40

I pray to God that he continues to heal those in Haiti...touch the lives that are over there pulling bodies out...allow them to remember that if the bodies that they are pulling out are dead that they remember that they are in a better place...and if the bodies are alive allow them to rejoice in your loving name...My prayer is with all...in your loving name Jesus....

chicken nuggets

this is one of our favorite recipe for chicken nuggets

Ingredients:
2 boneless skinless Chicken Breasts (that’s 4 breast fillets)
1 teaspoon of Salt
1/2 teaspoon of Parsley flakes
1/2 teaspoon of Oregano
1/4 teaspoon of Onion powder
1/4 teaspoon of Pepper
2 Eggs, beaten
1 Cup of Flour
about 1.5 Cups of Oil for frying (I used Sunflower seed oil)

Directions:
Heat oil in a heavy-duty skillet (like a cast iron skillet) on medium-high heat while preparing the chicken nuggets – it should be ready to work with once half of your nuggets are ready to go in.

Cube chicken and place in a food processor.

Blend chicken until it has all been taken apart and is a fine paste.

Remove to a bowl and add salt, parsley, oregano, onion powder, and pepper, and combine well.

Pour out flour on a plate and have your beaten eggs in a small bowl ready to work with.

Roll the chicken paste mixture into 34 ping-pong ball-sized balls (smaller than a golf ball).

Roll ball a “chicken ball” in flour, then in egg, and then in flour again. Then, press the ball down to make a nugget. Set nuggets aside.

Sprinkle the hot oil with some flour and if it bubbles really quickly right away, your oil is ready for frying.

Place as many nuggets as possible in the oil, and fry until the bottoms are golden, turn and fry until the other side is golden. Will take about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove to a towel-lined plate (to catch any excess oil).

looks good huh

Home organizing part 1-computer desk

this is for Melinda as it took her a long time doing her computer desk...haha you should be like me...lol you will see

As I sit here thinking about what to write about I now know that I am meant to help others with organizing their house..which is a hoot cause I am no where near being organized..not with 4 kids and a dog..

My first project will be the computer desk as its so messy that I cringe whenever anyone comes over.... its a mess...with no money to buy anything..I am bringing out my creativeness out..

told you it was a mess....

the drawer of the desk...

My To Do List:
  1. cords organized and labeled.
  2. cds in a spot
  3. bills put away
  4. printer clear off
  5. odds and ends put away
  6. clear out the drawer

will repost with the after picture of the desk...hope you enjoy seeing my mess...

My mom note for the day....
As parents we must encourage our children to fight the difficult battles, even when it would be easier to tuck them under our wing and allow them to quit.

Oh well that didn't take that long...but honestly it don't take long when you a
dd everything to a bag or the couch next to the computer desk just wait you will see...

half way done....

here you go...

here is the drawer with printer paper and some chargers.....

of course nothing is ever complete....

just something to make you laugh....
is emptying out the recycle bin on your computer considered house cleaning?

My theory on housework is, if the item doesn't multiply, smell, catch fire, or block the refrigerator door, let it be. No one else cares. Why should you?”

is wondering why aren't my kids as good at tidying up as they are at making a mess

till my next time I do some home organization...I wonder what it will be?? what do you think?? what should be my next organization project be??

grocery shopping day #1

My way of celebrating the families that don't use food stamp as a way to pay for food for your family...congratulations on achieving that..I will pray that you can continue to do so..

Now for the ones that do get help with food stamps I say stay away from Wal-mart...I spent $144 and this is what I have to show for it...

Just had to get a picture with my wreath that I did yesterday....

way to little but you can't see the 2 1/2 dozen eggs by the milk..yeah we go through that plus more if I am in my cooking mood...

well as I was at Wal-mart I found something great...this is for those that don't know me too well I love bullion cubes...I have the powder form of the tomato(which I will use tonight for dinner- taco's with spanish rice) I will try to post a link to my other blog so you can see how its made if I have it there if not just leave me a comment and I will give you the really simple recipe...

Garlic and Onion cubes: I am flipping out really how cool and I love the smell of Garlic even told the kids that they really need that as a perfume instead of vanilla...lol Yes I am weird haha

see how many I have... the one with the red lid is the tomato powder, then I got parsley, onion, garlic, 2 chicken, and beef...yes I am obsessed...

you can find these three plus the tomato in the Hispanic section of Wal-mart..

Well my next shopping trip will be Saturday with all the kids and hubby to Aldi in Gadsden...so much better prices...just remember to bring your own bags of boxes...till then..

Spanish rice:
Very simple to make..I fixed enough for 6 servings as my family loves rice ..
but start out with boiling the 3cups of water and I put in 3tbsp of the tomato bullion let it boil and then add the rice and take it off the burner let it stand with a lid on..when its done fluff up the tomato flavored rice and add some salsa..your choice on how much though...and enjoy..
