Well if you look back at my other post you will see Mason with his blue puppy. Well I started cutting the fabric, pinning it, sewing it all in one day. So now I must finish it up today of course when you look at it you will say "its done" but I have to sew up his belly button.

Mason's gift

I have 4 great nieces and nephews and one of my nephew's wife has two kids and one has my nephew's last name but the other one don't then they are expecting a little girl next month so all together I really have 7 great nieces and nephews and well soon to be 8 cause I totally forgot my niece is pregnant again. Ok I have 8 great nieces and nephews & if I have any more I will have to start cutting things off or sewing things up. I can't keep up with all of them but here is their names and who they are kids too..

newly sewing project part 2

Sorry It has taken me awhile to do this post but I didn't have a good weekend and I really didn't think of doing this blog.

newly sewing project part 1

I couldn't find blue fabric so I thought I have another birthday party to go to this Saturday & thought oh look I have red fabric so why not make a red doggie for this little birthday boy that just turned the big 1.



So after I got my red fabric I went past my girls room & saw this sign & thought OMG how cute I must take a picture of it. My daughter Chelsea 8yrs old wrote it & it says Chelsea & Magan room no boys and circled is yes dad. how cute she misspelled Meagan's name wrong this is just priceless picture.



Nothing like kicking it back while cutting fabric so this is how I sat with my leg on the coffee table

newly sewing project

I am so excited about my new sewing project. I found a puppy pal pattern from my Listia sight-- www.lisita.com and this is what I won.

So I am happy to say that I am making my great nephew Mason a puppy..



When Mason was born his mommy gave him a blue puppy so I thought OMG I can make him a puppy




I never like to cut the pattern that they give ya so I like use copy paper and so then I add it into a bag and then I will label the bag.

Now who don't like to find deals? I know I do and when I do I love to let all know about it. So yesterday I went by myself to Winn-Dixie, Aldi, then to Wal-mart are you tired yet just knowing all the places I went to by myself? Cause I am just thinking about it.

Spent $171.38 using my reward card I saved $71.11 Manufacturer coupon saving $7.50 multiply coupon savings $4.50 with a total of savings was $83.11



My Wal-mart deals-4 boxes of hamburger helper for $1.50 per box had a coupon for .75 off any three, Mahatma brown rice was $1.16 coupon was .40 off, Ball Pectin for making jam was $.97 and coupon was $1.00, Pizza yeast was $1.06 coupon was .40 off.

Thanks to my bestie Melinda that recommend me making sandwiches as she knew I was exhausted so I went with that idea and this is my dinner it was a turkey breast sandwich with a side of salad. Yummy



My hubby wanted me to go with him to the store to get meats and I waited for him to get a drink and thought Thank you God for these beautiful colors. This was such a blessing to see.

not a normal post

Yes that is correct I am not doing a normal post but I have such a heavy burden right now. I feel like I am on a ledge and I'm looking over and at any moment I will loose my footing and fall right in. I am scared of falling and not being able to get out. Now your probably saying what is wrong? What can make a level headed person feel unsure of things? I wish I had that answer all I know is today isn't a good day for me. WHAT?? TODAY?? Yes today I woke up 3:30am to go pee and then went back to bed and instead of closing my eyes they were wide awake. I laid there and closed them only to realize I was staring at my sewing machine. Now if it wasn't for the fact that it was so early I probably would have gotten up and started cleaning the house. Ah there is my problem, I am a stay at home mom, and my family expects me to do EVERYTHING. I cook, clean, do laundry, make sure kids chores are done, yell at the kids, get them ready in the morning, gosh the list goes on forever now my husband works full time comes home and is in front of the computer sometimes talking to us sometimes not, my braking point is he smokes and yeah its nasty but when I go to my room at around 8:30pm just to unwind from the day and get my head back on at around 9pm I come out to to pee (my first of many trips) and what do you think I smell? Cigarettes smoke as if right? I have asked him not to cause I have asthma and I can't stand that smell does he stop? NOPE. Now I am not asking for any help or advice but sometimes just writing it out helps. I ask God for help cause He will and can help. Sometimes I feel like this isn't how my life is meant to be. I am meant for a great life with a husband that is understanding of my feelings, backs me up with the kids, helps me with house work, just listens when I'm bitching and says yes dear you are correct I am sorry you feel that way. But God will deal with my husband in his own time. Also I found out that my step aunt died today and that is bothering me cause honestly I don't know where she went to. That to me is a scary thought not knowing where a loved one is at when they die. Thank you for listening to me and not judging me.

rag quilt

Ok if you know me you know I don't do things like I am suppose to. So needless to say as I am was wondering what to make for my soon to be great niece I found a youtube video of quilts and then I saw a rag quilt and thought ok I can't sew straight so how cool I can do that quilt. So here is how it started.

The 5 fabrics I found
Thought I needed something to soften the colors

Cut 200 little squares I think its 5x5

Matched up the back to the front

Sewing the fabric



Sewed two fabrics together and this is such a cool way to sew

As you can tell I messed up but it was so easy to take apart and redo


This is where I got excited its starting to look so cute

I hope baby Emmalin enjoys this quilt and remember that Auntie Annie loves her..

Now that I did this I thought of making my kids one using some baby clothes I have for them and I think I found a direction to do pictures and put it on fabric so I thought "omg how cool to have their baby and just random pictures on their rag quilt" So we have to keep this between us. I don't want to ruin the surprise I have planned for them.
