rag quilt

Ok if you know me you know I don't do things like I am suppose to. So needless to say as I am was wondering what to make for my soon to be great niece I found a youtube video of quilts and then I saw a rag quilt and thought ok I can't sew straight so how cool I can do that quilt. So here is how it started.

The 5 fabrics I found
Thought I needed something to soften the colors

Cut 200 little squares I think its 5x5

Matched up the back to the front

Sewing the fabric



Sewed two fabrics together and this is such a cool way to sew

Sewing some more together


As you can tell I messed up but it was so easy to take apart and redo


This is where I got excited its starting to look so cute

Done but not done lol got to finish up the edges and then start cutting
I hope baby Emmalin enjoys this quilt and remember that Auntie Annie loves her..

Now that I did this I thought of making my kids one using some baby clothes I have for them and I think I found a direction to do pictures and put it on fabric so I thought "omg how cool to have their baby and just random pictures on their rag quilt" So we have to keep this between us. I don't want to ruin the surprise I have planned for them.
